Dc/dc converters provide 12 W in tiny 24-pin DIP
The VAWQ12 series dc/dc converters provide 12-W output in a compact 24-pin DIP. Featuring a wide 4:1 input range and 88% efficiency, these isolated board-mount converters measure 1.26 x 0.79 x 0.41-in. and are housed in a five-sided metal-shielded casing with an industry-standard pinout. The devices suit applications, such as data transfer equipment and battery-operated equipment, where space is at a premium and a wide input range is needed.
The converters have an input range from 9 to 36 Vdc at a nominal input of 24 Vdc, or from 18 to 75 Vdc at nominal input of 48 Vdc. Output voltages include 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 Vdc. The converter series has an operating temperature range of –40° to 85°C and an I/O isolation voltage of 1,500 Vdc.
