The PCMDS80 primary switched dc/dc converter suits applications in vehicle and rail technology as well as industrial and telecommunication. It is available with an 80-W output power. The converter uses a transformer and a secondary linear choke to produce 5.1-, 12-, 13.8-, 24-, 27.6-, or 48-Vdc galvanically isolated outputs. The converters offer three input ranges that support battery voltages of 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 80, 96, and 110 V.
The converter uses a thermo-selective vacuum encapsulation that provides homogeneous heat dissipation within the modules. The converters need no ground load and are short-circuit protected by primary and secondary power limiting. (Contact info-inc@mtm-power.com for pricing and availability.)
