The DRV8871 brushed DC motor driver features integrated current sensing for higher efficiency and reliability. The ICs H-bridge FET driver handles up to 3.6 A peak. Two logic PWM inputs control the bridge.
The devices advanced current regulation circuitry does not use an analog voltage reference or external sense resistor. A simple external resistor sets the current threshold. The IC comes in an 8-Pin 4.9 x 6.0 mm HSOP package with PowerPAD. Supply voltage is 6.5 to 45 V and operating temperature is -40° to 125°C. The device has a low power sleep mode and is fully protected from faults with under-voltage lock out, and over-current and over-temperature protection. From $1.40 ea/1,000.
