The Pittman Series 8000 brush-commutated dc motors feature a seven-slot skewed armature design to minimize magnetic cogging (reluctance torque) and promote smooth and quiet operation. The motors suit a variety of power applications in industries such as data storage, medical and biotech, semiconductor, and automation.
Available in lengths of 2.070, 2.195, and 2.445 in., the dc motors can achieve peak torques up to 16.8 oz-in. and speeds up to 9,020 rpm at continuous torque. Standard features include sintered bronze bearings, two-pole stator, ceramic magnets, heavy-gauge steel housing, silicon steel laminations, and copper graphite brushes.
