The Gen3 Scalable Powerpack is an integrated dc-power system that targets central offices, mobile telephone switching office, data centers, and other high-capacity computing/networking centers. It is a configurable system that uses high-capacity rectifiers, incorporates an overhead bus that enables cabling installation, reduces cable congestion, and eliminates the need for central bus details or chandeliers.
The scalable power system can scale up to 10,000 A and is optimized for facilities with high-power needs. The central building block is a three-phase 48-V rectifier that is rated at 200 A >94% efficiency. The rectifiers are available in 208- or 480-Vac input configurations and use three-phase power. It accommodates up to 15 Powerpack rectifiers and provide up to 3,000 A in a single bay. The system has a field-expandable pyramid busbar structure that enables multiple rectifier bays to be joined to offer up to 10,000 A. (Contact company for price and availability.)
