DDR4 DIMM sockets offer greater flexibility, reliability

These DDR4 DIMM sockets are available in two versions — aerodynamic and standard — to give design engineers more options and improved performance while remaining cost-competitive. The aerodynamic socket (151016) features a through hole termination style and streamlined latch and housing feature for better airflow and space-savings, while the standard version features three termination styles: press-fit (78731) for solderless processes, surface mount technology (78730) for ease of PCB trace routing, and through-hole (78726) for cost-effective applications.

The sockets are made with moisture-resistant, high-temperature nylon whose Coefficient of Thermal Expansion suits high-temperature processing operations. All connectors have ergonomically designed socket latches that enhance usability with robust protection against high rip-out force and vibration. The 0.85-mm pitch sockets offer high connector durability, supporting up to 25 mating cycles, and are available with 0.76 and 0.38 µm gold-plating in a combination of several housing and latch colors, PC tail lengths and PCB thicknesses.
