Deep-drawn shielding cans protect critical devices

MuMETAL Shielding Cans provide efficient, low-frequency magnetic field attenuation with low coercive forces to protect critical devices from electromagnetic interference, electromagnetic radiation, and cross-talk signals, and are easily integrated into circuits for audio, automotive, automation, power supply, and power generation applications, in products and components such as high-end audio amplifiers, current transformers, specialty transformers, and electrical/electronic and PCB components.

The five-sided cans are offered stamped or formed in rectangular as well as round shapes, and deep-drawn up to a 3:1 depth ratio when necessary. Both the standard stock range and custom sizes are available in a range of thicknesses and can be made from various MuMETAL-, Co-NETIC-, or NETIC-brand shielding alloys to meet exact shielding requirements. For custom cans, pre-production prototypes of a new design can be manufactured. Smaller quantities of cans, larger-size cans, or cans made of thicker material can be fabricated using traditional methods, including Spinning, CNC forming, and TIG welding.
