The AVR32-ATEVK1105 Digital Audio Gateway Design Kit demonstrates digital audio streaming, decoding, and playback, based on the AT32UC3A 32-bit flash MCU. The processor has DSP instructions for audio decoding tasks, handles two audio interfaces, and has a stereo 16-bit audio DAC with FIR and Comb filters.
The kit comes with software that demonstrates audio playback and will scan any USB mass-storage device for MP3 or other audio files, and play them back. The kit’s software will also scan the ID3 tag and present album information on the 2-in. QVGA display. ($179 — available now.)
