XP Power’s AKM series of AC/DC power supplies meets the latest energy-efficiency requirements. These include all versions of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DoE) Level VI and the EU CoC Tier 2 energy-efficiency requirements. The power supplies also offer 2 × MOPP medical-grade isolation and very low no-load power consumption.

The AKM36/AKM45/AKM65  series of desktop AC/DC power supplies are rated at 36 W, 45 W, and 65 W, respectively, targeting health care, ITE, and industrial markets. Specific applications include portable equipment for medical monitoring and diagnostics, cosmetic treatment, environmental monitoring, test and measurement, and mobile communications.

AC input for all versions is 90 VAC to 260 VAC for worldwide use. Available outputs include 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, 18 V, 24 V, 30 V, 36 V, and 48 V depending on version.

An optional cable restraint is available for the connector for applications in which accidental disconnection would be critical, said XP Power. The output connection is a flying lead with a standard jack plug.

Key features include:
