Dev kit targets i.MX27 Freescale processor

The Development Kit-5 hardware reference platform for the Freescale i.MX27 processor is supplied with both Linux 2.6 and Microsoft Embedded Windows CE 5.0/6.0. The core of the Kit-5, the TX27 SODIMM module ($139, single qty), contains the 400-MHz processor, 64 or 128 Mbytes of mobile DDR-SDRAM, 128 Mbytes of flash, a 10/100 Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 Host/OSG, an LCD controller, a MPEG4 H.263/H.264 hardware codec and a camera interface.

The kit has a touchscreen controller, two SD card sockets, VGA connector, LCD 40-pin header, 10/100-Mbit/s Ethernet connector, USB 2.0 connectors, two RS-232 headers, and a JTAG interface. It runs on 5 V from USB or via screw terminals. ($1,990 — available now.)
