Developer platform has 12 500-MHz DSP cores

The EVP6472-941 multicore developer platform features two Texas Instruments TMS320C6472 multicore DSPs with 12 processor cores clocked at 500 MHz for real time processing tasks. A Virtex-5 FX30T FPGA provides an embedded PowerPC440 processor core and a quad channel 14-bit A/D converter sampling at up to 250 Msamples/s.

The platform has two 256-Mbyte DDR2 SDRAM memory banks accessable by each C6472 processor, USB 2.0, RS-232, and a Micro SD card slot. Applications include digital recording, software defined radio, and software reconfigurable applications in signals intelligence/ military communications platforms. (From $5,995 — available now.)
