Die-cast boxes have thick walls, IP rating

Suited for use in applications where impact protection and environmental sealing are primary requirements, the 1550Z series consists of thick-wall (0.12 to 0.16 in. depending on size) die-cast aluminum boxes with IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings. The sealed enclosures’ 18 standard sizes range from 1.98 x 1.78 x 1.19 to 8.76 x 5.77 x 3.25 in.

Units are supplied standard in either natural with a smooth vibra-finish, or in a tough black polyester powder coated finish. Environmental sealing is achieved through a combination of a tongue and groove construction and a pre-formed one-piece silicone rubber gasket; to ensure the integrity of the seal, the fixing screws are outside the gasket area.
