Diff amp drives dc to 100-MHz signals

Suited for driving the latest high-speed ADCs, the LTC6409, a fully differential amplifier, can drive dc to 100-MHz signals with just 1.1-nV/√Hz noise and –88-dBc HD2/HD3 distortion. Built on an advanced SiGe BiCMOS process, the amp features 10-GHz gain-bandwidth product, 100-dB SFDR up to 40 MHz, and 1% settling time of 1.9 ns.

Diff amp drives dc to 100-MHz signals

The LTC6409 features an input common-mode range of 0 to 3.5 V and an output common-mode range of 0.5 to 3.5 V when using a single 5-V supply, making it easy to interface ground-referenced signals to differential pipeline ADCs. The amplifier is unity-gain stable, has a high output current of up to 95 mA, and is fully specified to operate with either a 3- or 5-V single supply. Supply current is just 56 mA max, and a shutdown mode reduces this to 500 µA when turned off. Turn-on time is typically 160 ns.
