Digital amplifiers enable better in-car audio
Offered as the first devices of their kind to feature an integrated digital input, the 4×135 W FDA4100LV and the 4×50 W FDA450LV require no signal conversion or filtering circuitry — saving pc-board space and component count while bringing to the dashboard better in-car audio. In addition, engineering challenges such as EMI reduction are addressed inside the chips. The parts feature an input signal-to-noise ration of 110 dB and a dynamic range of 108 dB.
Additional features inlcude a 4, 2, 1-Ω speaker driving capability, a patented feedback loop design, and an integrated step-up driver (FDA4100LV). It is stop-start engine compatible and tested for compliance with automotive EMI standards. It supports I2C interface for digital control and diagnostics.
