Digital transistors reduce both parts and board space
Tiny SMT devices integrate a resistor bias network
Reducing required board space in space-challenged devices such as cell phones, PDAs, and media players by both reducing parts count and device dimensions, two families of digital transistors integrate an external resistor bias network into a 1.7 x 0.98 x 0.78-mm SOT523F package.
Tailored for use in switching, inverter, interface, and driver circuits, the SMT npn (FJY30xx Series) and pnp (FJY40xx Series) devices have an emitter-base voltage of 10 V, a collector-emitter and collector-base voltage of 50 V, and a collector current of 100 mA. ($0.037 ea/1,000—6 to 8 weeks ARO.)
