Digital UART provides updated full duplex comm

The ZDU0210RJX Digital UART (universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter) IC provides full-duplex asynchronous communications with a 128-byte FIFO buffer. It has dual UARTs and eight GPIOs and comes in a 28-pin TSSOP package. Other versions are available.

The IC uses a single 3- to 5-V supply, taking 600 mW total, and does not require an external crystal. Up to eight addresses are available and the default control setting is 57600 baud, no flow control, no parity, 8 bits. The device has a 4-kbyte I² C EEPROM.
