DLP reference design enables fast innovation

The DLP LightCrafter reference design kit includes a 0.3-inch WVGA resolution DLP chipset, often found in DLP Pico projectors, enabling reliable, high-speed spatial light modulation. The kit aids digital light processor designs for industrial, medical, security, and scientific instrument markets.

The chipset has a DLP3000, a MEMS device with 415,872 microscopic mirrors, and the DLPC300 controller that provides a convenient user interface and high-speed operation of the micro-mirror array. The compact 116.5 x 38.7-mm design can display up to 4,000 binary patterns per second using a RGB LED light engine able to produce more than 20 lumens. It has as the powerful TMS320DM365 embedded processor with 128 Mbytes of flash and includes an embedded Linux OS. ($599 available now.)
