DOSA PoL converters suit processors

The standards-based DLynx family of nonisolated PoL dc/dc board-mounted power modules is available in DOSA-based digital and analog versions. The converters suit processors and memory devices on circuit boards. They use an industry-standard PMBus interface and the company’s tunable loop technology, providing a current density of 8.1 A/cm2 .

The nonisolated PoL dc/dc converter modules deliver 96% efficiency. The first members of the family are the 12-A analog PicoDLynx (PVX012) and 12-A digital PicoDLynx (PDT012) in the standard 12 x 12-mm format. The modules offer input voltage from 3 to 14.4 Vdc with regulated output voltages from 0.6 to 5.5 Vdc. Current derating over temperature enables the modules to achieve 10.4 A at 85°C with no air flow (12 VIN and 1.2 VOUT ). With 100 LFM airflow, they deliver 12 A at 85°C.
