The Prescolite MegaLum is the industry’s highest output LED downlight solution providing 12,000 lumen by integrating heat pipe technology into the fixture. It features the MultiSource modular fixture platform that incorporates plug and play connectors to accept a variety of illumination technologies.
The high output LED fixture uses heat pipe technology used in computers, HVAC systems and solar products to transfer heat away from the LEDs at speeds more than ten times faster than conduction systems. The recessed downlight is available in multiple configurations. The downlight’s driver and light engine are accessible from above or below the ceiling plane for servicing. The MegaLum suits T4 quartz (up to 500 W), metal halide (up to 250 W) and induction (up to 165 W) sources for ceiling heights of 40 to 60 feet for use in stores, restaurants, hotels, museums, and office buildings.
