Driver amps target 18 to 33-GHz frequencies

The AMMC-6333 and AMMP-6333 driver amplifiers are built to allow design engineers to meet driver amplifier needs for broadband frequencies while eliminating the need for negative-voltage requirements for better RF performance. The amps support frequencies from 18 to 33 GHz and deliver a high gain of 20 dB and a high P1dB of 23 dBm.

With 50-Ω matching and a third-order intercept point of 30 dBm, the amps are easy to use with a single positive-voltage supply and dc power of 5-V bias at 220 mA. They are fabricated using a 0.25-μm enhancement mode PHEMT technology and are housed in surface mount packages or bare die. (Ea/100: AMMC-6333, $13.20; AMMP-6333, $19.80 — available now.)
