Driver suits HB LEDs in low-voltage lighting apps
The ZSLS7025 LED driver family is basically a step-up (boost) converter which is suited for high-brightness LED lighting for many consumer, industrial and after-market automotive applications. The LED driver is optimal for driving multiple white LEDs connected in series from a low voltage supply.
The device has an application input voltage range of 6 to 100 V, which supports lighting products using multi-cell batteries or regulated 12, 24, and 48 V power rails. Features include a high efficiency up to 95%, a low-voltage feedback mechanism (which helps maximize the operating efficiency), an open-circuit detection (which protects the application circuit), and an output current that is programmable via external components. The ZSLS7025 also features pulse-width modulation (PWM), linear and DC voltage dimming.
With an adjustable over-voltage protection, the chip and the system operate safely even if the load is not connected. Other features include under-voltage protection and over-temperature protection.
