DSCs & MCUs advance low-cost control

The 16-bit dsPIC33FJ16GP10x and dsPIC33FJ16MC10x DDCs and PIC24FJ16MC102 MCU target cost effective motor control and consumer applications. Versions of these devices have a 10-bit A/D converter, mTouch capacitive touch sensing, a real-time clock/calendar, and a 6-channel PWM with synchronized outputs for 3-phase operation, programmable dead time and output polarity, and edge or center alignment.

The devices have 16-Kbytes of flash, 1 Kbyte of RAM, and yield 16 MIPS performance over -40° to 85°C or -40° to 125°C temperatures. They have a voltage regulator, three comparators, and interrupt controller with 5-cycle latency, and a charge time measurement unit for capacitive touch sensing.
