Dual 16-bit pipeline ADC offers 160 MSPS

Targeted at multicarrier, multistandard GSM/EDGE, WCDMA, LTE and WiMAX wireless basestations, the dual-channel 16-bit ADC16DV160 pipeline A/D converter delivers 160 Msamples/s in a 10 x 10-mm package. The device consumes 650 mW while offering an input-bandwidth of 1.4 GHz.

The part delivers 91.2 dB full scale (dBFS) SFDR, 76.3 dBFS SNR, and 97.3 dBFS higher-order harmonic distortion at 197-MHz input frequency. The ADC operates on dual power supplies, 1.8 and 3.0 V, with power-down and fast recovery, and features dual LVDS outputs for interfacing to FPGAs and ASICs. Housing is in a 68-pin LLP packages.
