Dual 500-mA LDO regulator features ultralow noise

The LT3029 is a dual low-noise, LDO regulator with independent inputs and independent shutdown control for each channel. It delivers up to 500-mA per channel of continuous output current with a dropout voltage of 300-mV at full load. The device features an input voltage range from 1.8 to 20 V, delivering output voltages from 1.215 to 19.5 V.

The regulator has 20-µVRMS noise from 10 Hz to 100 kHz, and offers tracking and sequencing capability. It has quiescent current of 55-µA per regulator (operating) and <1-µA in shutdown. It operates with a 3.3-µF ceramic output capacitor. It is available in a proprietary 16-lead thermally enhanced MSOP package and a 16-lead 4 x 3-mm DFN package.
