Dual 600-mA out regulator offered in 3 x 3-mm QFN pkg

The LTC3607, 2.25-MHz synchronous dual output buck regulator delivers up to 600-mA continuous output current from each channel at output voltages from 0.6 to Vin. It is available in a 3 x 3-mm QFN or a thermally enhanced MSOP-16 package. The regulator accommodates an input voltage range from 4.5 to 15 V. It suits dual cell Li-ion applications as well as 5- and 12-V intermediate bus systems.

Each channel of the buck regulator uses internal switches to deliver efficiencies as high as 96%. The two channels run 180° out of phase, minimizing the size of input capacitance. Burst mode operation maximizes light load efficiency, requiring only 55-μA at no load. It suited for applications demanding maximum battery run times and light load transient response.
