The OBP421 Bluetooth dual-mode system-on-module features a Cortex-M3 MCU operating at 72 MHz with up to 384 kbytes of fast flash and 64 Kbytes of SRAM. It is Bluetooth Smart Ready, so designers can create C code applications that are able to access any connected Bluetooth Smart sensor using the Generic Attribute Profile (GATT).
The Bluetooth v4.0 module has 300 m wireless range with support for Bluetooth low energy, Android, and iOS. The MCU offers a 12-bit A/D converter, 16-bit timers, PWM timers, and I2C, and CAN and could be used as an application main processor. The module operates over -30° to 85°C from a 3.0 – 6.0 Vdc supply and needs 0.6 mA at 3.0 V in standby and 44 mA average in Tx.
