This reference design report describes a dual output, 20 W power supply employing InnoSwitch™-EP INN2605K. The design operates in an input voltage ranging from 85 VAC to 264 VAC and delivers an output of 12 V at 1.5 A and 5 V at 0.5 A. It features built in synchronous retification for >87% efficiency, all the benefits of secondary side control with the simplicity of primary side regulation, primary sensed output overvoltage protection (OVP) that eliminates optocoupler for fault protection, accurate thermal protection with hysteretic shutdown, and input voltage monitor with accurate brown-in/brown-out and overvoltage protection. It aslo meets output cross regulation requirements without linear regulators.
