Supporting the video portion of dual-SCART, set-top-box designs, the MAX9655/MAX9656 dual-SCART switches, integrate the filtering, switching, and amplification necessary for RGB and composite-video signals in set-top boxes. The reconstruction filters on both devices are optimized for standard-definition signals and typically have ±1-dB passband flatness out to 9.5 MHz and 47-dB attenuation at 27 MHz.
The MAX9656 also allows users to select whether the composite signal sent to the VCR originates from the television SCART input or the encoder. Both devices operate from a single 3.3-V supply and are fully specified over the 40° to 125°C automotive temperature range.
