Dual-winding inductors suit high-current apps

Available in 12.5-mm footprint shielded SMD packages, the HM78D-1210 series of dual-winding inductors provides higher inductance, better efficiency, and superior current handling in a rugged, low-cost part. The device can be configured as inductors, common-mode chokes, or dc/dc converters.

Specifications include inductance values from 4.7 to 470 µH in parallel configuration and 18.8 to 1,880 µH in series, as well as dc resistance from 0.014 to 0.57 Ω max with leads connected in parallel and 0.056 to 2.28 Ω in series. In parallel, rated current is from 1.22 to 10.6 A, with saturation currents of 1.8 to 18.0 A. (Contact company for pricing — available now.)
