Durable USB connector addresses high-stress apps

A ruggedly constructed USB connector has an enhanced design that meets MIL immersion and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) seal requirements. Able to connect to USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports, the heavy-duty design targets demanding high-stress military, communications, medical, industrial, and computing applications.

The USB connector is a Type A, right-angle mounted connector with current ratings of 1.5 Amps, a contact resistance up to 30 mΩ, and an operating temperature range between –40° and 105°C. The connector meets seal requirements of IEC-60529, Code IP67 on PCB side, and immersion requirements per MIL-STD-810F, Method 512.4 to 20 meters (unmated), and is RoHS compliant.
