DVR board supports simultaneous HD recording to two USB devices

The embedded DVR solution captures JPEG snapshots without video interruption and facilitates wireless operation with an external Wi-Fi adapter

The new analog high-definition (HD) digital video recorder (DVR) design from Portland, Oregon-based Sensoray captures JPEG snapshots without video interruption and provides both DVI and composite NTSC/PAL outputs to allow live/recorded video and JPEG snapshots to be displayed on an external HD or SD monitor.

The Model 4023  captures AHD, HD-TVI, or HD-CVI video streams and compresses them to high-profile H.264 video. Next, it digitizes audio from the external microphone or stereo line inputs and compresses them using the AAC encoding. The compressed A/V streams are multiplexed and recorded as MP4 files on a user-supplied USB storage device.

The DVR board supports simultaneous HD recording to two USB devices. An external USB storage device is required for DVR operation. Optionally, a second USB storage device can be added, and the 4023 board will simultaneously record for both devices.

You can simply plug a USB Wi-Fi adapter into one of the board’s USB ports and create a wireless DVR. To complement this feature, Sensoray offers approved Wi-Fi adapters, which, in turn, allows phones, tablets, and laptops to view video and control recording and playback. In other words, the DVR can operate without a monitor or keypad, which saves space and reduces cost.
