ECIA Announces Strategic Standardization Management Seminar & Fall Standards Engineering Summit
September 19-22, 2011 – Portland, Oregon
Atlanta, GA The Electronic Component Industry Association (ECIA) announces a half-day Strategic Standardization Management Seminar has been added to the Fall Standards Engineering Summit meeting. The special half-day seminar on September 19th will focus on introducing first-time attendees and those interested in understanding the standards development process to the benefits of using standards as an integral part of corporate strategy.
The Fall Standards Engineering Summit (September 19-22) provides electronic component engineers an opportunity to meet and develop domestic and international technical standards covering passive electronic components including capacitors, resistors, inductors, electronic connectors and tape and reel product. These American National Standards are developed through an accredited rigorous process and constitute a significant tool for effective global trade and commerce of product lines.
Meetings are open to all interested individuals from users, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, academia, and government agencies. They provides component engineers an opportunity to learn about the standards development process, how to better use standards to a company’s business advantage, what market pressures are currently impacting product design, and to network with some of the nation’s best and brightest component engineers.
