ECIA Honors Mouser VP Keith Privett for Distinguished Service

Mouser Electronics is proud to announce that Keith Privett has received a 2013 ECIA Distinguished Service Award

October 29, 2013 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., a leading engineering resource and global distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, is proud to announce that Keith Privett, Mouser Vice President, Supplier Management, has received a 2013 ECIA Distinguished Service Award.

This award is presented annually by the Electronic Components Industry Association “to those individuals who have made significant contributions to the leadership and activities of the electronic components industry and the association.”

The ECIA is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the expanding needs and interests of the authorized electronics supply chain.

Privett was recognized for his contributions to the ECIA’s executive committee as well as for his leadership in Project Host, an educational program that provides students the opportunity to attend premier industry events. Project Host occurs twice a year – during the Electronic Distribution Show (EDS) and the ECIA Executive Conference in Chicago, which is where Privett received the Distinguished Service Award on October 28.

“Keith’s professional leadership and contribution to the Executive Committee and to Project Host has indeed made a significant difference to the progress and success of these ECIA programs,” said John Denslinger, President and CEO of ECIA. “Without his participation, guidance and creativity, the association certainly would not have achieved so much success in such a short time.”

“I am honored and grateful to receive this recognition,” Privett said. “ECIA is a fantastic organization for our industry. I am always happy to support their initiatives.”

Privett joined Mouser in 2002 as Director of Electromechanical & Power product lines. He has played a key role in helping Mouser grow its linecard through partnerships with top manufacturers. He holds a Master’s Degree in Global Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business Administration.

In 2011, the ECIA awarded the Distinguished Service Award to Mouser’s President and CEO Glenn Smith. Smith was recognized for leading a team of ECIA members to launch the only inventory search website that is limited to manufacturer authorized distribution.
