A series of male edgecard connectors is designed to accommodate 1.58-mm-thick daughtercards, providing engineers and assemblers with a 2.54-mm or 3.96-mm spacing interconnect system. The double-row connectors feature phosphor bronze gold-plated contact fingers that can eliminate the need for gold-plated fingers on the daughtercard.
Available with a choice of PBT or Nylon 9T insulators, the connectors operate in temperatures from –65° to 150°C. Connectors with 0.100-in. centerlines are offered with from 4 to 60 contacts, while 0.156-in. centerline devices are offered with from 4 to 40 contacts. Contacts are rated to 3 A, and insulation resistance is 5,000 MΩ at 125 VDC. (Per contact, $0.086 to $0.147 ea/1,000 — 1 to 2 weeks ARO.)
