The PKB4313D digital dc/dc converter module is an eighth-brick platform featuring a 12-V output that offers up to 25-A current handling and 300-W output for PoL dc/dc regulators. It complies with the Distributed-power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA) 5-pin eighth-brick footprint standard and offers an input range from 36 to 75 Vdc, and offers up to 96% efficiency with a 48-V input and 12-V output at half-load. The converter suits intermediate bus conversion in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) applications and targets high-power and high-performance use in networking and telecommunications equipment, servers and data storage applications, and industrial equipment.
The converter operates with ratio-regulation in the very-low-input range with the ability to handle transients and sudden changes in input voltage, and it operates in normally regulated fixed-voltage mode from a 42-V input and above. The module’s powertrain employs full-bridge synchronous rectification on the primary side. The module uses tellurium copper pins for excellent thermal transport. It measures 2.30 x 0.89 x 0.38 in. and is available in through-hole and surface-mount versions. The module provides 2,250-Vdc input/output isolation, input-under-voltage shutdown, output over-voltage, over-temperature, and output short-circuit protection.
