EL drivers raise efficiency standards

Suited for mobile phones, PDAs, pagers, calculators, multimedia players, and remote controls, the MIC4830 and MIC4832 series of 180 and 220 Vpp low noise EL drivers are designed to drive panels of up to 4 in2 or greater. Both devices consume 45 µA and integrate a high voltage boost converter and a new H-bridge driver.

Operating from an input range of 1.8 to 5.5 V, the drivers are available in RoHS compliant MLF and MSOP-8 Pb-free package options. ($0.85 ea/1,000—available now.)
