The new elastomeric connector from Fujipoly allows hardware engineers to connect PCBs to a variety of LCDs. The Zebra 1002 Carbon Connector doesn't require soldering or additional supports for installation and can be ordered to fit the exact application.
Fujipoly's new interconnect device boasts a unique layered construction that includes 240 alternating layers of conductive and non-conductive silicone per inch. That allows the connector to accommodate contact pad spacing as close as 0.38 mm.
The Zebra 1002 connector from Fujipoly requires an extremely low compression force to make necessary surface-to-surface contact. Furthermore, it features a current-carrying capacity of 50 mA per 1 x 1-mm pad.
The elastomeric connector allows custom dimensions to be specified in the following ranges: 3.98 to 228 mm length, 0.38 to 2.99 mm width, and 0.50 to 19 mm height.
