Elastomeric connector mates displays to PCBs

The Silver Zebra elastomeric connector enables the connection of hybrid circuits, EL-, and plasma-type displays to PCBs. Current-carrying capacity is up to 0.700 A and contact resistance is less than 0.50 Ω.

The low-resistance interconnect creates redundant electrical contact with a design that incorporates 240 alternating layers of silver-filled conductive elastomer and nonconductive silicone material per inch of connector. The connector provides a centerline pitch between layers of 0.10 mm and allows for 0.381-mm pad spacing on the PCB. (Contact Frank Hobler for pricing—available now.)
