Electrically reprogrammable CPLDs
A pair of electrically reprogrammable CPLDs, the PA7128 and PA7140 PEEL
arrays, combine a non-segmented programmable logic array (PLA) with FPGA-like
logic cells. Every input pin and feedback loop is available at any logic
function. The width of the PLA assures that more than 60 product terms are
available per function. The 40-pin PA7140 has 124 inputs to the array from 14
input pins and feedback loops and 125 total product terms. The company offers a
free ABEL fitter for the devices. (66-MHz PA7128J-20, $3.60 ea/1,000–available
now.)
