The Eagle schematic editor, layout editor, and autorouter CAD software version 5.11 incorporates DesignLink functionality, giving design engineers automatic search through the element 14 eCommunity, with online check of price and availability. The packages has online forward- and back-annotation and a context-sensitive help function.

The layout editor has a maximum drawing area of 64 x 64 in. and a resolution of 0.1 µm. The ripup-and-retry autorouter handles up to 16 signal layers. The schematic editor handles up to 999 sheets in one schematic and provides electrical rule checking plus gate- and pin-swap.
