Eltek Valere Showcases Advanced Power Solutions for Next Generation Wireless Networks at CTIA 2011
Products support both high-power applications for 3G/4G telecoms infrastructure and low-power picocells
ORLANDO, Fla., INTERNATIONAL CTIA WIRELESS 2011, BOOTH 1422 – March 22, 2011– Eltek Valere, the world leader in high efficiency power systems, will showcase key new products at CTIA 2011 that provide the industry’s highest efficiency (HE) power for 3G and 4G wireless networks. The show takes place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from March 22-24, and the company will be exhibiting in Booth #1422.
Eltek Valere will be introducing new 48V, 1,500W and 2,000W versions of its industry-leading high efficiency V Series rectifiers, which are key components within the company’s Compact DC Power System and Integrated DC Power System. Also on display will be the 48V 1,000W V Series rectifier.
These systems are optimized for the demanding power needs of 3G and 4G wireless communications, enterprise and broadband access equipment and are widely deployed in thousands of wireless and remote terminal telecom locations throughout the world. Based on Eltek Valere’s HE technology, the rectifiers provide up to 96 percent efficiency.
Also on display will be the Eltek Valere Trilogy DC Power System, a 40A-600A, 48VDC telecom power system that manages both AC mains and solar power inputs. Based on Eltek Valere’s market-leading Flatpack2 HE rectifier, the compact Trilogy has a 15-inch rectifier depth and offers 96.5 percent efficiency, the highest power conversion efficiency in the industry.
For picocell deployments, Eltek Valere will be showing the Micropack™ power system, which is being deployed by a leading U.S. 4G wireless operator for its network of picocell sites in major U.S. cities. The Micropack is perfect for the tight confined spaces of 3G and 4G picocell cabinets, and it scales from 250W up to 1000W with rectifiers that measure only 44 mm wide by 150 mm deep by 134 mm high. This compact size is critical as the picocell cabinet includes all communications equipment, power supplies and up to two hours of battery backup packed in a single pole-mounted enclosure.
Eltek Valere will also be previewing a new hybrid battery distribution fuse bay (BDFB) for mobile telephone switching office (MTSO) applications. The BDFB serves as a secondary power distribution center for 48 VDC power delivered from a central office battery plant to the load equipment. The Eltek Valere BDFB is 15” deep, is NEBS, UL and CSA certified and has two, four or six-600 amp A or B input feeds, each with 800 amp shunts.
