Emulator adapter socket is interchangeable
A 44-pin QFP emulator adapter, the SMoQUA, has a male plug that is
soldered directly onto pads on the pc board. The remainder of the plug
mates with a choice of interchangeable top sockets for PLCCs, PGAs, DIPs,
and QFPs. Also available is a Pin Monitor top for use with logic
analyzers. Because the base part of the adapter resembles a leadless chip
carrier, the likelihood of solder bridging and wicking is minimized. (From
