The VQE and VHE series board mounted dc/dc converters are housed in a rugged aluminum package. The devices are internally potted and encapsulated, and provide increased system reliability through added protection from environmental factors such as dust, moisture, and shock and vibration. They are offered in industry standard quarter-brick (VQE) and half-brick (VHE) footprints.
The 50−W VQE series and the 100−W VHE series dc/dc converters reach efficiency levels up to 93%, making them suitable for use in industrial, automation, transport, security, and telecom equipment. The 4:1 input range from 9 to 36 or 18 to 75 Vdc . The converters provide output voltage options of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 or 48 Vdc and an operating temperature range of −40° to 60°C at full load, derating to 50% load at 85°C.
