Encapsulated converters work in extreme apps
The encapsulated RWR 212 series of 200-W dc/dc converters meets the EN 50155 requirements for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock and other extreme environments. The converters operate from supply voltages of 24 Vdc (14.4 to 37 V), 36 Vdc (22 to 55 V), 48 Vdc (28 to 74 V), 72 Vdc (42 to 110 V), 96 Vdc or 110 Vdc (57 to 168 V) and use push-pull topology to deliver output of 12, 24, 36, and 48 Vdc.
The converter series offers isolation and has a built-in voltage limiter circuit to ensure input voltage surge and transient withstand capability to meet Railway Industry Association 12 requirements. The converters also meet EN 50121-3-2 and EN 55022 Class B EMI performance requirements and are housed in 3.7 x 2.4 x 9-in. enclosures. ($255.94 ea/100 — available now.)
