The Body-Case enclosure is made to house wearable electronic devices and is designed with two 18-mm spring bars specifically for fitting an 18-mm wrist strap so a device can be worn just like a watch. An enclosed device can also be carried loosely or, with the optional fastening kit, hung around the neck on a lanyard or clipped to a belt/pocket. Available in one size (2.17 x 1.81 x 0.67 in.), the IP 65-, IP 67-rated case can be specified either with or without a recessed top for a membrane keypad or product label.
Priced from $14, the enclosure consists of three parts: a top section with pc-board location bars, a bottom section with four pre-molded drilling centers (for use when fitting contact pins by drilling), and a soft-touch sealing ring. The pc board is held securely between the top and bottom sections after assembly with four tamperproof Torx M2 x 6-mm screws. Accessories include a black silicon wrist strap that is elastic, waterproof, comfortable to wear, easy to clean, and comes with a stainless steel buckle. Options include custom colors, special materials (V0 flammability-rated), RFI shielding, CNC machining, legend and logo printing (screening, tampo, or digital), and assembly of accessories.
