Enclosures head for the outdoors
The Datec-Compact series of UV-stable IP65 (NEMA 4) handheld enclosures is designed to house electronic systems meant for outdoor use: mobile data recording and transfer, measuring and control, stock and sales logging plus digital control technology. The enclosures also feature integrated contacts as an option – providing a total solution for charging and data transfer.
Manufactured from an ASA+PC-FR blend (UL 94 V-0) for added strength and UV stability, all types of units in the series – handheld enclosures, desk stations, and wall holders – can be specified with built-in contacts. Cases are currently available in one size (6.771 x 3.622 x 1.535 in.) with a top section featuring a large recess to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label. They are assembled with tamperproof Torx T10 screws and options for the cases include a 3 x 1.5 V AA battery compartment. Prices start at $42.
