A new line of high-speed end-launch connectors from Pasternack features robust voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and smaller mounting profile, and it’s targeted at high-speed digital and millimeter-wave (mmWave) designs.
The removable end-launch connectors come in four models while providing VSWR as low as 1.10:1 and operating frequency ranging from 40 GHz to 110 GHz. The connector options include 1.0-mm end launch (110 GHz); 1.85-mm end launch (67 GHz); 2.92-mm end launch (40 GHz); and 2.4-mm end launch (50 GHz).
Pasternack’s new end-launch connectors feature an outer conductor made of stainless steel and a gold-plated beryllium copper center contact. These connectors don’t need soldering, are reusable, and have a compact profile with a 0.35-in. mounting width.
The company claims that these mmWave end-launch connectors are highly suitable for applications such as signal-integrity measurements, coplanar waveguides, chip evaluations, SerDes testing, substrate characterization, and test fixture. And they allow engineers and technicians to fit more launches in the same PCB.
