The Talos Serial Attached SCSI high-performance enterprise solid-state disk drive comes with 230-, 480-, or 960-Gbyte capacity. The drive features 128-bit AES-compliant encryption, 4-W standby and 7-W active power, and Virtualized Controller Architecture (VCA) 2.0 with advanced command queuing and queue balance algorithms.
The 3.5-in.-form-factor unit yields up to 530 Mbytes/s read and 345 Mbytes/s write speeds, with up to 64,000 IOs/s random read performance. It uses MLC NAND flash with 1-M or 5-M-hour MTBF. (960-Gbyte SSD, from approx. $2880 available now.)
