Enterprise SSD yields high endurance

The P400M solid-state drive targets enterprise applications with a high endurance that achieves 10 drive fills per day for five years. The 100-, 200-, or 400-Gbyte-capacity drive comes in a 2.5-in. form factor and uses a SATA 6-Gbit/s interface.

Built on 25-nm MLC NAND flash, the drive gives up to 350/300 Mbytes/s read/write capability with active average power of less than 5 W and idle power of less than 0.75 W. The drive features Extended Performance and Enhanced Reliability Technology (XPERT) firmware and 0° to 70° operation. (Price not given — available now through OEM distributors.)
