AEEON- EPIC board with intel processor SoC
AAEON launched its new EPIC-BT07 board. With different SKUs to choose from, this board series offers various levels of performance for users with different requirements: From the most cost-effective solution with the Intel® Atom™ dual-core N2807 CPU for “lighter” usage to a more powerful quad-core J1900 or E3845 CPU, designed for more advanced and demanding applications such as industrial automation hardware and government-oriented equipment. Wide temperature support of -40°C – 110°C for the E3845 SKU is available to make it more conducive for its designed purposes.

All of the SKUs are designed similarly with the CPU located at the solder side of the board to allow room for more diverse thermal solutions, which may even lead to a smaller chassis. In addition, common to all of AAEON’s EPIC offerings, a PCI-104 bus is included so that additional boards can be stacked atop for any expansion needs.

Other benefits inherited from the 4” EPIC board include an expanded number of serial (COM) and USB ports (six are available for each type on the EPIC-BT07, to facilitate implementation in an industrial or factory setting. In addition, there is an audio IC for out-of-the-box high definition audio.

“The PCI-104 and PCI bus provides a great way to bring the enhanced specifications of the EPIC-BT07 to any existing EPIC products”, said Alicia Wang, Product Manager of AAEON’s Embedded Computing Division.“Just slot the new board into your system and it is ready to go, no fuss, no muss”.
